Thanks everyone for the tweets, texts, facebooks etc about this on Saturday night. One of the few nights we were all tucked up on our sofas thanks to the snow so we actually saw this. Inverted cross shorts from our current collection and Tiger Necklace, matching ring and earrings(not visible) which are a sneak preview of what’s in store when we relaunch our Remade collection with a fully Made collection.
I guess now is a good time to let you know that we’ve been busy travelling the world to our factories designing awesome digital print lycra as well as our own denim and jewellery lines so things are gonna get a whole lot more interesting.
…..I thought I’d show you may fave performance so far. I actually blogged this last year some time but loads of people I know have never seen it so since we’ve a lot more readers now here goes.
Recorded in her bedroom, belted out willy nilly, girl’s got skillz. Sometimes simplicity can be mind blowing and I like to complicate things.
….but there’s some shorts so that makes it all ok. Fit bitch Vicki Blow’s bum crack challenging our underbutt concept – and just when we thought it’s position was safe. Featured in Front magazine(nake girls and Alt Girl and stuff about skateboards) on her naughty list(I don’t think she’s the kind of girl to have a nice list though) – our styles are in the high brow Upset God and Pull a Moonie section. Have no idea how they got there either.
Sorry bout that God but here’s a nice bum for you. According to popular culture you created it so that should make up for it…..
Interviewed by Manny Norte, the man you can trust. We like Yasmin and not just becuase she came on stage and kicked someone in the face with a beachball.
Grandaughter of THE Elsa Schiarapelli, model and actress Marisa Berenson has been cited as a key influence of the Art Nouveau romanticism of the early seventies. Born in 1947 she started her career as a model in the 60’s and by the 70’s was reputedly the highest paid model in the world. Known as “the queen of the scene”, she frequented Studio 54 and was dubbed “the girl of the seventies” by YSL.
She is pictured above at 64 years in the current issue of LOVE magazine wearing a dress by Gucci and a headdress by us – ?LOVE.
Just before we launched bitchingandjunkfood.com in 2009 we went to Coachella to do some trend reporting and spot key festival looks. It’s one of the best festivals I’ve been to for style. 2009 was pretty amazing – highlight for me was MIA. We were threatening to go this year but we just didn’t have time. There’s something really cool about driving down a 6 lane motorway(or freeway or whatever they’re called in the states, it’s also terrifying) into the dessert to go to a music festival.
Anyway we’re soo going next year but still I thought I’d go through my fave looks for this year. First up Eliza Doolittle, totally biased here since we designed the headdress and the shorts. Totally out of our comfort zone with a macaroon colour palette inspired by our Pantone mugs(we love it when art imitates life, we’re obsessed with Pantone). Not a spike stud in sight.
Featured on the Telegraph – Rhi Rhi in our shorts and Eliza in our shorts and headdress(custom made).
Loved Vanessa Hudgen’s Hippie Style
