Nice to see our mates world over getting up to all sorts of wack shit. Latest one, paddy homeland boy and awesome photographer Robbie Sweeney who’s been living the high life in San Francisco. He’s just shot Electro-hop duo Double Duchess’ new video “Bucket Betch” – and you know we love anything that references betchez.

Hey-ay! – snaps fingers.

Born on the 24th of July – Bitchingandjunkfood x Solestruck

Back in June when it felt like Summer we approached by golden boy Ty from the US footwear retailer Solestruck. They were visiting London and wanted to collaborate on a Lookbook cover shoot for their homepage. We were in Korea at the time but several Skypes later we created a plan and organised to shoot a couple of days after we came back. We pulled team BITCHY together and called in samples from some of our other favorite London labels to style back with a shiny selection of Solestruck’s AW shoe stars as well as our in-house labels. Lydia Garnett was our photographer and Ish Sahotay produced the video. Myself and Kath styled with myself and Ty directing and generally being bossy – match made in heaven. We shot with Lauren who’ll you’ll recognise from our online store,  Nyane and local menswear designer Alan Taylor.

Now here’s the other thing……24th of July…..what’s that about? So, myself and Kath generally make it common knowledge that we have the same birthday, it’s a gimmick, people dig it, everyone confuses us all the time and we’re pretty much interchangeable so it’s now part of the story but it’s actually the truth. On Ty’s last night in London we were hangin, knockin back margheritas and pizza at our one of our fave restaurants Pizza East when we hit him with the birthday fact. He smiled and laughed – “oh too cute” – or something similarly agreeable to humor us. It later transpired that he was a Leo too – “what date?”…….. “24th of July”. Jaws dropped, eyes widened “no waaaaaayyy”. Yep, so there you have it fashion triplets and there you have it again….Born on the 24th of July Bitchingandjunkfood x Solestruck.

See the whole Lookbook and more RAD shoes here.

Can’t wait to visit New York and shoot there.

Ayah Marar Performs at Lovebox and Beack Break in BITCHY.

I grew up listening to Jungle and DnB so any girl doing her thing with the genre gets our full support – oh yeah and she’s hot as hell too which always helps. Below are pictures of baby girl performing with Camo and Crooked at the Hospitality stage at Lovebox(in the catsuit) and Beachbreak.

Bitchy girl Ayah Marar looked hella sexy in our AW12 Fantasia Catsuit at Lovebox this year.

Break it Down – Ri Ri at #HackneyWeekender

June 27th, 2012 | M | Bitching and Junkfood News, Fashion, Press | No Comments »

Just back from two weeks in South of France and a festival in Ireland where I got zenned on a pretty major scale in the middle of a field surrounded by trees, nature, fairies and a load of hippes. So much been happening while I’ve been away and now have an imminent studio move to plan as we upgrade to our first ‘real studio’ gutted to the gills and designed especially for us in an arch space in Hoxton. Things are getting kind of official. More about that later…..

Yeah so we’re pretty stoked about Ri Ri in our shorts at the Hackney Weekender- which sold out straight away – and the fact that she liked the outfit that much that she didn’t change out of it after her performance.

We’re slowly discovering who else she was reppin on the day – the top was by Katie Eary who’s just showed an awesome SS13 Baroque meets skate collection at London’s first ever menswear fashion week. The jacket was by local designer gal Claire Barrow of whom we’re big fans and have written about before. Big ups all round. xx

Yep they’re short.
