So here’s one of the things that’s been keeping us busy, our new studio right on Bocking Street. Seeing a massive Haring tribute murals on the wall in keeping with the low-key organic food, english heritage, I have a whippet vibe of Broadway market.
Andy our swagga man mate who’s helping the build rocked up this morning eyes red, zebra print waiscoat, combat pants, big rasta hat and enough rings to put any blogger to shame – jesus christ we love London.
That’s me, oh no is it Kath, oh no hang on it’s me, or is it…..keep ya guessin……standing outside.

By all accounts we’ve been totally rubbish this fashion week. We only made it to two shows, one of them was PPQ and we arrived ten minutes too late to be let in. We also went to go to the party but couldn’t hack the cold so we legged it to Pizza East to get fat, the waiter recognised us from the last time when we complained about their rustic table wine(IKEA) glasses. If you’re going to drink table wine from them then cool but we weren’t drinking table wine.
Why have we been rubbish, well A) we’re working and B) we’re working. We’ve just been taken on by an Australian agent oh yeah C)Bitchy Kath’s been in Australia for the last two weeks which means we’re all just totally burnt out and can’t scrape a proper air kiss together between us. So we’ve been knocking out 4 sets of samples for each of our collections and shooting two lookbooks. Our TWO WEEKS label was exhibited with Bloody Gray in Sommerset house and samples are now being whisked off to Paris with Snow Sales(who also represent Pam Hogg).
We did ( I saw we as in I, Kath was having Sunday Lunch in the Cat) manage to get to Pam Hogg on Sunday evening which was gold. Pam Hogg is always gold. We bumped into lil Suzie Streety in the queue – she was wearing a really silly hat like one of the Musketeers with a big feather which kept sticking into my eye when I was talking to her. It looked good though so we’ll let her get away with it.
All star attendance, Toyah Wilcox(I think it was her but she might have had a bit of work done, it was a good job though), Alice Delall, Daisy Lowe, Boy George, Diane Pernet from A Shaded View of Fashion.
Also there was one of my favorite London Bloggers Girlalamode who’s kindly let me borrow some pics from her blog. I didn’t bring a camera – thanks lady, such beautiful pictures.
General theme was BDSM Woodland. Pam’s signature jumpsuits were realised in derranged wood prints, some blood coloured with jackets, head and shoulder pieces created from tufts of brightly coloured fox fur. Favorite looks were the bondage/leather/straight jackets pieces. Surprisingly wearable.

the patchwork fur was amazing, I’m not ususally one for colour but these were out of this world….

I love designers who aren’t afraid to introduce some humour such as the bird’s nest headdress

Also there was new friend and pop artist Pandemonia who had a little latex friend in tow. I hope it didn’t do any latex woopsie, I wonder if she has latex poo-bags…

Every so often a new club night pops up that you get excited about. Well tonight sees one of them. It’s a while since we’ve been to a Mark Moore party but you’re always guaranteed a good night. I was invited by the charming Henry Wickettt Padgham last weekend – he’s got a cool tattoo, nice shirts(well he had one on last Saturday so I’m assuming there’s more) and a tiny hooped earring like Bros. You’re always gonna trust someone like that when they say something’s going to be good. Vogue Fabrics is also across the road from my house so it’s as easy as popping out to get a pint of milk.
Also DJ’ing is Princess Julia(no relation to mademoiseel Yulia who I just wrote about), original Blitz kid and Music Editor of ID Magazine. I’ve been told it’s a funk night and I protested that I hate funk which everyone knows, however I do like Curtis Mayfield which I’m aware is a total contradition. I also see that there will be Chicago House which I love – I think I had an argument with Henry about the roots of Chicago House being in funk(I refused to believe it).
Anyhow, our good friend Christopher James, Weknowwhatyoudidlastnight will be taking pictures alongside Disorder Magazine who’ve featured our designs before. One big happy family. See you on the dancefloor. MWAH x

We have the most respect for girls who wanna do things their way regardless of what anyone thinks. Well Tokyo It-girl Mademoiselle Julia’s clearly got it goin on. A regular on Tokyo fashion and party blogs, she’s easily identifiable with her trade-mark blue cleopatra bob and love of pop-labels KTZ and Jeremy Scott. She also writes fashion for Nylon Japan, designs her own jewellery, sings, DJ’s and writes her inspirational blog – not bad for a days work, u go girl!

K-pop band 2NE1 who I wrote about a few months back have also been seen wearing her rings.

We rebranded a few months back, logo desgined by a charming Welsh boy Jonathan Evans – he drank a lot of tea and has a lovely Summer wardrobe. It’s taken us months of fannying around to get our business cards sorted, we’ve been really fussy about paper and we designed them ourselves. If you’re going to have something really simple then the paper needs to have the perfect texture to create some interest. Needless to say these were expensive – that’ll teach yiz fer bein fussy!
Since they were expensive we decide to mess them up a bit – seemingly we’re good at “fucking things up”(not my words so it doesn’t matter that I cursed, I’d never do that) – we have a remade brand so that’s what we’re good at. We are kind of imperfect perfectionists with really high standards if that makes sense. We also wanted to avoid any confusion as to our roles in the business.
The paper is a lightly texturised white 340gsm, the black is printed in black foil and the “biro” red is in red foil.
If you’re really important(or bring us gifts) we might give you one. x
