A few weeks ago a friend introduced me to a man with a twiddly moustache and a not so twiddly cake habit. I have a really bad cake habit – if I lived in France i would most likely be morbidly obese – so this was sheer delight. The Curious Confectioner creates edible art cakes(and trust me they are) from all manner of unusual ingredients including popping candy, edible glitter, edible flowers and weird berries which he fed us the last time he visited our studio(I can’t remember what they were called but they had a great name that sounded slightly rude which obviously we love).
The Burgers and Chips cakes above – BURGERS AND CHIPS CAKES!!! – were created for the Hackney Wicked arts festival. The only thing better than burgers and chips is burgers and chips cakes don’t you think?

I’ve been trying to persuade him to make cake tits for a while now, I’m not quite sure why . There’s something terribly cliche about cupcakes with cherries on top so maybe it’s more of a challenge. I believe the cake tits have been made and I shall be seeing them on Friday. Ha ha I’ve just had a text from him saying he needs to figure out how to transport his jelly. I leave the Destiny’s child cliche’s alone.
Starting to plan for SS11 on both our Two Weeks and Remade labels and just having a look at what’s coming through. LOVING Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony. Love this whole shoot, great styling, lovely shots, hot Chloe, the ultimate BITCHY girl.
Pretty much looks like she stumbled out of the Vice party we went to on Wednesday although I imagine she’s a bit more sober.

Today sees the lauch of Vicestyle.com VICE’s online fashion site aimed at the next generation of youth culture. For me VICE has always managed to tap into the “it’s wrong but it’s kinda right….am I weird” element of my brain so I was interested to see how they applied the same aesthetic to fashion.
Despite any pre-conceived ideas you might have about VICE, vicestyle.com is not just a Tits and Fan-fan fest(not that there’s anything wrong with that, we love tits and fan-fan).
I’ve taken some time out of our hectic keeping all the plates spinning schedule (they’re plastic though so if we drop one we’ll just dust it off and spin it again) to peruse the website and pick a few of my favorites. I guess I’ve chosen images that resonate with reality rather than shiny fashion, images that resonate with my reality too.

So I have been in LA a few weeks now and have successfully eaten everything in sight and have gained more freckles then you can shake a stick at. One spectacular adventure included kesh and suzies day out to Gay Pride…Il let the pictures speak for themselves.

So I arrived after an horrific flight, no sleep for like 48 hours and hungover to hell, but I made it. In true LA style we went straight to eat chicken wings and watch the Lakers game (??) , I stroll in with my goth black maxi dress draped in gold jewellery and clearly did not fit in, the chicken wings were damn good though.
I then arrive at our wonderful magical shack, I love it, its bulit for leprachauns and trolls to live in, but me and kesh are making it work….

Just got delivery on some new shoes, we’ll be shooting and uploading next week. That’s the beauty of LDN – you can actually get away with wearing boots all Summer Long. Actually we’d probably be wearing them regardless of temperature – we just love our boots.

8 creatives were asked to interpret Nike Sportswear icons. Olle Hemmeendorff, ex advertising/creative agency joy and now freelancing, constructed his using one of the most powerful and durable materials known to man – the hamburger. Yum.
We love LOOK. It’s our guilty pleasure – everyone we know reads it although some are still in the closet. Well we’re out and proud and all over “This Week we need….”
Don’t know how this escaped our attention – totally forgot about this shoot, filmed the end of last Summer but this(Hackney Wick) is where BITCHY began last year in a big dusty old warehouse. Pre Olympic development Armageddon, it was the place for any kind of shoot and Adidas’ above was no exception.
To be totally honest having Beckham round looking for tea and jaffa cakes every five minutes got a bit head wreckin – he’s not a great conversationalist and doesn’t know a thing about post-modernism. Snoop n his bitches were a bit distracting, all that batty – Noel can’t really sing but he was a good laugh. Goes without saying that everyone in Hackney Wick is that good looking and despite what you may have heard about squat parties, they actually all look this glamorous.
Thankfully Adidas left all the props on the streets for the local art scavengers – that’s our mate Jarris on the skateboard, he also helped us put up all the shelves in our studio.
