Tits and Ass – the sequel

Today I’ve had a really really really shit day, although I’m putting the final touches to our range for Urban Outfitters and that’s made me happy, all feathers and natural tones with a bit of crystal thrown in to feed my magpie urges. I think it might actually be the best collection I’ve designed yet.

Back to the ongoing Tits and Ass war. Regular readers will recall my blog post following Mark Fast SS10 show. I’ve had quite a bit more exposure to this issue with one of our models saying she sometimes struggles at castings as she’s naturally too thin and a designer friend choose to cast normal size models.

One of the most interesting shoots I’ve seen of late was V Magazine’s Size Issue” which proves that junk in trunk can be just as hot as stacey size six. I’ve always wondered why TV shows like 10 years younger and how to look good naked think the key to curvy is a matching Dorothy Perkins Waspie and shoes. No No No!

Why oh why are we intent on frumping up curvy chicks? The burlesque scene has made it cool to rock curves but when is the mainstream media going to accept that curvy girls want to be hip too.

I think colour palettes are really important on pale skin. Drab colours should be steered well clear of and I’m sorry but I just don’t think the Mark Fast palette does anything for curvy milk bottle limbs. At the same time kudos for the exposure he’s given the issue.

V Magazine has made curvy girls HOT like proper sexy not marriage-material feminine. Personally I think curvy wins the race in this shoot anyway she’s just got so much more sex appeal and you know you could enjoy a good steak with her(this is bascially my standard for judging everyone).

I’m with you, I think the curvier model in this particular shoot has far more sex appeal than her skinny friend. But I don’t want to be her, I want to be the skinny girl, even though she doesn’t look half as good. WTF? And isn’t that what sells clothes? Aspiring to be the person in the clothes? Maybe I’m just too brainwashed after growing up reading Dolly magazine and watching all those tanned skinny bitches on Home and Away. Nice piece got me thinkin.

Such a great idea idea for a shoot and just shows that you dont need to be a size 6 to look hot…saying that, i want to be the skinny girl too :(

I actually don’t want to be the skinny girl.

If anyone here has ever seen porn, you’ll see that skinny girls having sex look like they’re being hurt and I literally can’t look! Hip bones and stringy inner thighs make me wince! Waa! Crystal Renn is completely beautiful and you couldn’t break her in bed. She looks more normal and it’s nice to know that she’s much less likely to be suffering, tired and mentally ill in the photos.

It’d be great to see more sized 10-16 models in fashion. This is the proof that it can work
