Konnichiwa, Bitches!

So, without getting into all that fluffy introductory BS, I’m Kara; that blogger girl from over on the other side of the planet in that country that sounds like an extra in Aladdin (Abu Dhabi).

Some deets:

I was born and raised on Milo and mangoes in Trinidad and Tobago.

My parents hauled me over to the United Arab Emirates when I was old enough to hate the idea and rebel against it by drinking too much and passing out in curious places.

At 17, I started a Creative Writing degree at Roehampton University in London, and somehow, I managed to finish that this year, along with a BA in East London and Early Soho Nocturnal Antics

Now, I am 20. I’m back livng in Abu Dhabi (with random hops and skips to LA and London). I’m a freelance writer of sorts (of sorts meaning I don’t really make any money from it and am forced to blog and/or bar tend… or teach), and clearly I love using brackets.

I also have major love for: The Beats Generation, Skeletons, Japanese Rope Bondage, (Bikram) Yoga, Languages, Lists, Hanif Kureishi, Sweaters, Metal/Punk/Electro, Sunglasses, Stationary Supplies, Asian Culture, Alternative Lifestyles, Black, Purple, Silver, Gold, California, Sleep, Vegetables, Starbucks, Fashion, Sushi, Money and staying up late.
