BITCHY MAIL AND THE LDA

Today I felt sad becuase the LDA(London Development Authority) came around with measuring tapes in hand. I could smell 2012 off them. I asked if they were measuring-up our warehouse to because they were going to flatten them and re-develop into posh flats – they said they had just been given instructions(all sounded a bit James Bond to me, kind of like the LDA CIA or maybe I can call them the CIA LADIES).

So our days are numbered and we’re starting to think of where we’re all going to move after Armageddon. A little mystery mail cheered me right up. I bumped into a charming cheeky chappie on the street who had a package for me and my assistant Tash. A little screen-print to brighten our days. I walk barefoot in my studio, stairs and heels are a no no. Alas I cannot afford marble floors just yet, mine are wood and covered in metal shavings, crystals and beads. He’s helping us with screen-printing skills for our own label ranges – we’ve set it all up here in the warehouse. Myself and Tash have decided to develop our own ranges to sell on the site and we’ll be adding some super exciting labels from East London over the coming months. I guess our backgrounds are design and that’s what excites us – we will keep the vintage too as we love mixing up aesthetics.We also want to support the local economy and put money back into our friends pockets – a nice way to do business don’t you think?

Other BITCHY news, Cedric – the french life drawing model and live-in husband/home maker – has helped me build a new rail for my ever expanding collection of clothing. We shot the menswear range yesterday on Rupert, another local who we’ve dragged into the studio. This will go live by end of August.

I also met a frog prince at the weekend at Beach Blanket Babylon – I think he’s more charming than frog. That’s him talking to my BITCHY BESTIE and fellow blogger Manaboutworld.
